About Wildone

What is Wildone?

Wildone is an iOS app for managing your own tasks and rewards. You create your tasks, you complete them, you earn points, and you trade those points for rewards you define yourself. The idea: turn your routine into a game worth playing.

Who makes Wildone?

Wildone is published by RomSoftware Solutions, the company of Roman Wenzel Brunaux, an independent developer based in France. The company builds software tools: Wildone is the first released under that name, and others will follow. Company website: romsoftware.net.

In practice this changes nothing for you: the messages you send still land with the person who writes the code.

Is Wildone available on Android or Windows?

No. Wildone is available on iPhone only. The iPad and Mac versions are in development and coming very soon. There is currently no Android, Windows or web version.

Does Wildone work without an internet connection?

Yes. Wildone is built local-first: all your data is stored on your device. You only need an internet connection to:

  • download the app and its updates;
  • make a Wildone Premium purchase;
  • sync through iCloud (an optional Premium feature).

Day to day, you can use the app entirely offline.

First steps

How do I create my first task?

On the main screen, tap the + button at the bottom right. Enter a title, choose an icon, a category and an effort level, then confirm.

What are effort levels for?

The effort level (from 0 to 100%) reflects how hard the task is and decides the points you will earn by completing it. The higher the effort, the bigger the payout.

What is a "group", or category?

Groups let you organise your tasks by theme (for example: Work, Home, Training). You can:

  • create as many groups as you like;
  • define 5 icons per group;
  • choose whether a group pays points or not;
  • turn the difficulty level on or off for a group.
How do I mark a task as important?

Press and hold a task, or use the context menu, to mark it as a priority (flag). Important tasks appear at the top of the list and pay a bonus of 50 points.

Tasks and rewards

How do points work?

Every completed task pays you points:

  • Base: 50 points per task
  • + Effort: the value of the effort slider (up to +100)
  • + Important bonus: +50 points if the task is marked important
  • Category with no points: a symbolic 5 points
  • Counter task: the value of the effort slider on each tap, without the base 50

Points build up in your total and can be spent in the reward shop.

How are the points of a counter task worked out?

A counter task — glasses of water, sets of an exercise, work sessions — is not made to be ticked once, but pressed several times through the day. So it follows the same rule without the base 50 points: each tap on the "+" pays the value of the effort slider.

A counter set to 30% therefore pays 30 points per unit. Without that, pressing the same button ten times would pay more than a big task carried to the end.

How do I create a reward?

Go to the Rewards tab → + New reward. Define:

  • a title (e.g. "Cinema night", "Buy that book");
  • an icon;
  • a cost in points;
  • optionally, mark it as a favourite.
How do I use a reward?

Once you have enough points, buy the reward from the shop: it moves to the To use section. You then tap it there to consume it in real life.

Can I undo a task I completed by mistake?

Yes. Just after you complete a task, an undo pill appears briefly at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to cancel the completion: the points are taken back and the task returns to the list.

How many tasks can I create?
  • Free version: up to 15 open tasks at a time.
  • Wildone Premium: unlimited.

Completed tasks do not count towards that limit (they leave the active list).

How many recurring tasks can I create?
  • Free version: up to 3 recurring task rules.
  • Wildone Premium: unlimited.

Recurring tasks

How do I schedule a task that repeats?

When creating a task, turn on Recurring mode. Three kinds of recurrence are available:

  • Weekly: choose the days of the week.
  • Periodic: every X days / months / years.
  • Monthly / yearly: on a specific day (e.g. the 15th of each month).
At what time do recurring tasks appear?

They are created automatically in your list when the app is opened on a day that matches the rule. If you do not open the app on a given day, the rule fires at the next launch, with no catching up.

What happens if I do not complete a recurring task?

The uncompleted instance is replaced by the new instance the following day (a "replace / reset" strategy). Overdue instances never pile up.

Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts

How do I add a Wildone widget to my Home Screen?

Press and hold the iOS Home Screen → + at the top left → search for Wildone → choose a size and drag it into place. You can pick which group of tasks the widget shows.

Can I tick a task off from the widget?

Yes. Since Wildone requires iOS 26 or later, interactive widgets are available to everyone. Tasks ticked from the widget are credited the next time you launch the app.

How do I use Wildone with Siri?

Wildone provides App Intents: you can build your own shortcuts in Apple's Shortcuts app (list your tasks, toggle their state, and so on). Then say, for example, "Hey Siri, run my Wildone shortcut".

Notifications

How do I turn notifications on?

Go to Settings → Notifications in the app, then turn on the master switch. You can then configure:

  • Daily reminder: at the time of your choice.
  • Recurring task reminders: triggered when they appear.
  • Quiet hours: a period during which no notification is sent.

If you refused the first permission request, you will need to enable it in iOS Settings → Notifications → Wildone.

Do notifications go through the internet?

No. All notifications are local: scheduled and triggered by your device. No remote server is involved.

Statistics

What does the Statistics tab show?

It gives a deliberately simple overview:

  • the number of tasks completed;
  • a chart of the last few days, to see where you stand;
  • a few markers on the points you have earned.

It is a dashboard to place yourself, not a detailed analytics tool.

Does Wildone track a streak of consecutive days?

No. There is no counter of days in a row, no record to protect, and no notification warning you that you are about to "lose" something.

That is a deliberate choice: a streak counter rewards showing up daily rather than actual effort, and a single missed day is often enough to make people give up altogether. Wildone pays for what you get done, on the day you get it done. A day with nothing in it destroys nothing.

Wildone Premium

What does Wildone Premium unlock?
  • Unlimited tasks (instead of 15)
  • Unlimited recurring tasks (instead of 3 rules)
  • iCloud backup and sync across your devices
  • All future features, included at no extra cost

The exact scope is set out on the Premium page in the app and may change.

What does it cost?
Plan Reference price Commitment
Monthly€3.99 / monthNo commitment, auto-renewing
Yearly€24.99 / yearNo commitment, auto-renewing (~48% saving vs monthly)
Lifetime€59.99One-off purchase, no renewal

The exact price in your currency, local taxes included, is shown by the App Store before you confirm.

How do I cancel my subscription?

From your iPhone: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Wildone, then Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no further charge is made, and Premium stays active until then.

Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

I changed iPhone — how do I get Premium back?

In the app, open the Premium screen and tap "Restore purchases". Your purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not to a particular device.

Can I share Wildone Premium with my family?

Eligibility for Apple Family Sharing depends on how each product is configured in the App Store. Apple states it on the product listing, before you buy, and that is what governs. If in doubt, write to us before purchasing.

How do I request a refund?

All refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, select the Wildone purchase and give your reason. Apple generally decides within 48 hours to a week.

If you believe you have a particular reason (a bug, a substantial defect), write to us at contact@wildone.app — we can support your request, with no guarantee as to Apple's final decision.

What happens if the price goes up?

Apple notifies you in advance and asks for your explicit agreement. Without it, your subscription is cancelled at the end of the current period, at no cost. For the lifetime purchase, the price you paid is final.

Backup and iCloud sync

How do I back up my data?

Two options:

  1. Manual export: Settings → Data → Export a backup. A .wildone file is generated; choose where to keep it (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, etc.).
  2. iCloud sync (Premium): Settings → Data → turn on Sync through iCloud. Your data is then replicated automatically across every device signed in to the same Apple Account.
How do I restore a backup?

Settings → Data → Import a backup → choose the .wildone file. Importing overwrites the current state; we recommend exporting just beforehand.

What is inside a .wildone file?

All of your data: tasks, rewards, groups, statistics, profile, appearance preferences. Except the notification settings, which are specific to each device.

Is iCloud sync automatic?

Yes, as soon as you turn it on (Premium only). Changes are synced in the background, generally within a few seconds of each change.

What should I do if iCloud sync is not working?
  1. Check that you are signed in to the same Apple Account on every device.
  2. Check that iCloud Drive is on: iOS Settings → [Your name] → iCloud.
  3. Check your internet connection.
  4. Force a refresh by closing and reopening the app.
  5. If the problem persists, contact us at contact@wildone.app.
What if two devices conflict?

If Wildone detects that a more recent remote version is overwriting your local data, an "Undo" banner appears temporarily so you can go back to your previous state. If you do nothing, the more recent version is kept.

Privacy and data

Who can access my data?

Nobody but you. Wildone is local-first and the publisher has access to none of your data. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Does Wildone contain advertising or tracking?

No. No advertising, no analytics SDK, no trackers. No data is passed to third parties for commercial purposes.

How do I delete all my data?
  • Locally: Settings → Reset (this cannot be undone).
  • On iCloud: iOS Settings → [Your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Wildone → Delete.
  • Full uninstall: remove the app from your Home Screen. All local data is erased.

Technical problems

The app crashes or freezes
  1. Force it to quit (swipe up from the app switcher) and relaunch it.
  2. Restart your iPhone.
  3. Check whether an update is available on the App Store.
  4. If the problem persists, email us with your iPhone model, your iOS version and your Wildone version (Settings → About).
My tasks are not being saved
  • Make sure you have enough storage space on your device.
  • Check that the app has the system permissions it needs (iOS Settings → Wildone).
  • If you use iCloud, check that your iCloud storage is not full.
The widgets are not showing my tasks
  • Check that you have chosen a group in the widget's options (press and hold the widget → Edit).
  • iOS limits how often widgets refresh — there can be a slight delay.
  • If the widget stays empty, remove it and add it again.
A Premium feature is locked even though I bought Premium

Open the Premium window and tap "Restore purchases". Also check that you are signed in to the same Apple Account as the one that made the purchase.

How do I change the app's language?

Settings → Language. You can also let the app follow your iPhone's language.

How do I reset the default appearance?

Settings → Appearance → Reset appearance. This resets the theme, the accent and the aura, without touching your tasks or rewards.
